Manufacturer blurb
Radio Flyer scooter is fairly stylish. The stong steel construction can withstand even the roughest riders. The big front and back wheels and training wheels provide extra support. The riding platform is wider than most, so kids won't have trouble staying on.

Although this is a self assembly unit, it can be built in about ten minutes without any problems. It is both well made and very robust.
There are many other makes of childrens scooters on the market and most of them are much cheaper, even as much as 60% cheaper, however I am a great believer in paying a little more for something that you know will do the job, and you get what you pay for.
Radio Flyer is a well known brand and they will always carry any spare parts you may ever need.
My choice is radio Flyer every time.
And my son loves it!

Second mother
After purchasing this gift for my 3 year old nephews b-day, my sister-in-law informed me she thought he might be to young for it but upon receiving the gift, she emailed me telling me how wrong she was and had apparently mis-judged her son. She explained she couldn't get him off of it and he loved it. I have since received two videos via email with him riding his scooter around and he is so happy and seems to be having a lot of fun.

Radio flyer little red scooter takes full adult weight..and survives

My daughter(5) has so much fun riding her new radio flyer classic scooter. Her mother who is maybe three times her weight got on it and demonstrated the art of scooting. No damage done -- this scooter is build solid!
I noticed that unlike a bicycle this scooter's turning radius is rather small. The beauty of this is that the child who rides this scooter will less likely have those catastrophic turn-the- handle-bar-one-way-fall-another-way (as on a bicycle) accidents.
None of the toy stores in my town carried this scooter; so I imagine my daughter is one of the few who owns one here. I would not hesitate to buy another scoooter from this company!

Latest user feedback
This scooter is like a miniature "Hummer." And it would be a great toy for my 4-year old son if he was riding through rough terrain or a battlefield. The toy is heavy, clumbsy, and not well not well-built. It was anything but fun and my 4-year old son quickly lost interest in it; I had to purchase another one. (My son was told that Santa made a mistake, and boy did I!) The Radio Flyer company makes great wagons and they, in my opinion, should stick to that market. They've totally missed the scooter market.
